Do you want your businesses or personal Facebook posts stand out? Possibly you want them to be a little more fun. Well, this article wants to show you just how easy it can be to create simple but effective content for your social media page.
So first, where to make these wonderful posts?
My best friend is a whiz kid with Photoshop (shout out to Andrea). I unfortunately have not been so lucky. My studies have allowed me to gain knowledge in many areas of Marketing but not in the design process. This was a huge frustration of mine because I knew what to do with the content but I couldn’t build it. So, I did my research and found Canva. I mentioned in my last post how I used Canva for my C.V but it’s also a tool that can help every marketer get a little more creative. Canva offers many things free, while also offering a pro version and you can also pay for small things at individual prices. I use the free version (student problems), which is impressive. There are lots of layouts already built or you can make your own and there are thousands of free pictures and icons to choose from. These are just some of the posts I have created for some businesses’ social media I have worked on. It’s a simple drag and drop design process, so absolutly no need to worry about experience.
So, how do we make these wonderful posts?
So, first thing first, Sign up for Canva
Now you will come to this screen:
As you can see from the options above, Canva offer many layouts for everything from C.V’s to your posters. For now choose Facebook Post option. That will then bring you to:
There are 100’s of layout options available, which you can edit to suit your needs. There are different tools that will allow you change or add to the layouts or if you’re brave you can start with a blank canvas and build your own. The extra tools which you can see on the far left are:
1. Elements which include photos, frames, lines and charts.
2. Text which gives headings, subheadings, and text layouts you can choose from.
3. Background: This has all the colour backgrounds, along with many textured backgrounds you can choose
from. Remember you can stick with the background that comes with your chosen layout.
4. Finally, in the uploads you can upload any photos, logos or icons you may want included.
As I mentioned it’s a simple drop and drag process, the only thing you really need to bring is a little imagination. Here are 2 posts I made to give you some inspiration to begin.
I hope this helps make your next Facebook post stand out and get your customers or friends smiling.
